I wished I was happily romping about in my little heaven
With the grass tickling my feet and guiding my gait
But this was not another pleasant walk
For there was somebody I was running from
He was eager to catch me while I was desperate to evade him.
I turned left, he turned left
I turned right, he turned right
Finally, he tired me out and I found myself in his claws
I saw my last moment and heard my own last breath
He stripped me off my skin and my dignity
My flesh cooked in the high heat and I knew it was what hell was like
To rub it in, he coated me so I looked like a mummy.
And as he put me on a platter for someone with a twinkle in his eyes
I knew I was bound for the same fate as everyone before me.
But unlike those who passed before me
I was treated with a lot more respect
I heard clapping and I heard cheering.
I meant something and not just for the tongue.
I was going to change the world and the world was going to embrace me.
The whole world was watching me for I proudly represented everything they stood for
For I was the Chick-A-Fil chicken.
Cuck-doo-coo - Happy Friday !
